The first-Tuesday (8:30 – 10:30 a.m.) public meeting continues to take place at Diamonds Cafe, 1618 Central Avenue. Among topics discussed at the 7 June meeting:
- Typical / preferred local news and information Web sites (StarTribune.com, Minnpost.com, TCDailyPlanet.net);
- Commentary / in-depth podcasts (C-realm, Radio Ecoshock, Extraenvironmentalist, Survival, Robert Scribbler);
- Christopher Alexander’s (co-author of the classic A Pattern Language) critique of permaculture (Several regular attendees of the first-Tuesday meetings participated in a permaculture study group in 2015, using as a text Integrated Forest Gardening, by regional practitioners Wayne Weiseman, Daniel Halsey and Bryce Ruddock.);
- A “new” perennial variety of spinach: Caucasian mountain spinach (available from Fedco Seeds and the local Perennial Partners Nursery).
